On My Easel

Day 3

I have this acrylic painting of a fairy sitting among some tulips on my easel this week. I have worked on the painting for three days. I am planing on adding some larger tulips, but I need to finish the fairy first, to make sure I get the proportions right. At the moment, I am working on her legs.

Day 1

The painting started like this, but I felt the pose was too weak. I wanted her head to rest on her knees. Her arm was also too masculine, so I made it thinner and more curvy. I hope to finish this painting for the upcoming Easter exhibition.

The size of the canvas is 31.49 * 23.6inch (80 *60 cm)

Water Color Faces

I have joined a local water colour society to get some inspiration. It is nice to paint among other artists, who enjoy splashing with colours.

This is a test to try out some ideas for a new painting of a tree spirit. When I go for walks with my dog in the forest I am on the hunt for a tree with some female shapes, that I can use as a reference, so I will see you around, I am off to shoot trees with my camera!
